When disaster strikes, timely and effective response is critical to saving lives and alleviating suffering. Medical Aid to Pakistan is proud to partner with CDRS (Community Development and Relief Services), an organisation that provides emergency relief and mobile medical teams during disasters. Together, we have been able to deliver life-saving support to communities in need.
Our Response to the D.G. Khan Floods
When the D.G. Khan region of Pakistan was devastated by floods, Medical Aid to Pakistan acted swiftly to support relief efforts. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to provide:
- 2,000 water bottles to ensure access to clean drinking water.
- 50 tents to offer temporary shelter for displaced families.
- Clothing, flour, and bedding for an additional 50 people.
Collaborative Efforts
We are grateful to the following organisations for joining hands with us to support the people of D.G. Khan:
- Rural Development Organization
- The Leghari Foundation
- The Imran Khan Foundation
- The Gurmani Trust
- U.K. Association of Medical Aid Pakistan
- The Bali Trust
These organisations provided essential supplies such as food, clothing, tents, bedding, and household items, helping to ease the suffering of those affected by the floods.
The Ongoing Crisis
Despite these efforts, 15,000 people remain displaced in the D.G. Khan region. Many families are still struggling to rebuild their lives, facing challenges such as lack of shelter, clean water, and access to healthcare.
